Dear QS delegates,
On behalf of EU Business School (EU), proud member of the OMNES Education Group, it gives me enormous pleasure to welcome you to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Higher Education Summit: Europe 2024, hosted by our institution in the beautiful Catalonian coastal town of Sitges.
We are pleased to have entered into this collaborative partnership with QS and to provide you with an exciting agenda whose aim is to push the boundaries of higher education and to bring sustainability to its fore. Together we will discuss the importance of sustainable initiatives and challenge the status quo to be able to offer students new paradigms and approaches to the ever-changing 21st century. You will be encouraged to call into question the models of today; and to use your creativity to envision the education of tomorrow.
It is not by chance that EU joint forces with QS. Both our institutions share the same philosophy and commitment to fostering a 360-degree, hands-on learning experience. An entrepreneurial mindset, creative thinking, innovative spirit and international dimension underlie our approach and this summit will serve as a platform to showcase these values and paradigms.
Above all, the event will emphasize the power of partnership. At EU, we actively engage with industry experts, entrepreneurs and global leaders to provide students with networking opportunities and the strategic and operational knowledge they need to succeed in the impending world. It is with pride that we host conferences with renowned global leaders such as Paul Bulcke, chairman of Nestlé, Jose Manuel Barroso, former president of the European Commission, and Paul Polman, former CEO of Unilever and co-founder of Net Positive. It is through these conferences and the power of debate that our students grow.
Internationality is yet another factor which unites QS and EU. Since 1973, we have brought together and developed students from across the globe to foster multicultural understanding. At present, over 3,000 students of 130+ nationalities study foundation, bachelor’s, master’s and MBA programs on our campuses in Barcelona, Geneva and Munich as well as on our Digital Campus. At this summit, our aim is to bring thought leaders from the higher education sector across Europe together to unite different perspectives and promote a universal approach and understanding.
As the summit begins, we are proud to announce that EU will be celebrating another milestone. In July, we will also inaugurate our third campus building in Barcelona, a true testament to the success of our dynamic, international and entrepreneurial approach to business education.
We look forward to meeting you at the QS Higher Education Summit: Europe 2024 and to its insightful conferences and debates. We are sure this summit will be a springboard for initiatives that will mark a before and after in higher education.
