Prince of Songkla University (PSU) is a public Thai university established in 1967 as the first university in Southern Thailand. It is a leading research university committed to academic excellence, reputable research and innovation, which aims to develop the local community and cultivate social strength based on the knowledge and research projects of PSU faculties and units in its five campuses.

 

PSU campuses, located in Hat Yai, Pattani, Phuket, Surat Thani and Trang respectively, house over 33,000 students, with international students from 37 nations, and over 2,500 academic staff. The university offers 145 Bachelor’s, more than 100 Master’s, and 80 Doctorate degrees. The academic excellence is illustrated in several disciplines such as Agro-Industry, Biochemistry, Biodiversity, Chemical Engineering, Energy, Epidemiology, Hospitality and Tourism, Islamic Studies, Natural Products, Natural Rubber, Palm Oil, and Pharmaceutical Sciences to mention a few. PSU collaborates with more than 600 institutions worldwide on various academic and research projects, which broaden the experiences and wisdom of its staff and students towards becoming international citizens.
